Admissions Counselor

Admission counselor duties include recruiting prospective students, guiding them through the admissions process, evaluating applications, and representing the institution at recruitment events. They provide information on academic programs, conduct interviews and campus tours, and maintain records of student interactions and application statuses. Key duties

• Recruitment: Actively promote the institution at college fairs, high school visits, and other recruitment events. Develop and implement recruitment strategies.
• Student guidance: Advise prospective students and their families on admission requirements, deadlines, and educational programs. Provide information about campus life.
• Application management: Review and evaluate student applications and supporting documents. Make recommendations for admission and communicate admission decisions.
• Communication: Respond to inquiries via phone, email, and in-person meetings. Conduct informational sessions and campus tours.
• Record keeping: Maintain accurate records of prospective student interactions and application statuses.
• Collaboration: Work with other departments to meet enrollment goals. Build relationships with high school and community organization counselors.
• Policy and procedures: Stay updated on admission policies and procedures, and ensure compliance with them.
