Job Overview:

A Telecounsellor in an education consultancy is responsible for guiding prospective students and parents about educational programs, admissions, and career opportunities. The role involves telephonic communication to provide counseling, address inquiries, and convert leads into enrollments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Student Counseling & Guidance:
  • Counsel students and parents on various academic programs, universities, and career options.
  • Understand the students' needs and suggest suitable courses or institutions.
  • Lead Management & Follow-Ups:
  • Call potential students based on leads from various sources (digital marketing, walk-ins, referrals, etc.).
  • Follow up with interested students to ensure conversion.
  • Maintain an accurate database of student interactions.
  • Information Sharing & Support:
  • Provide details on admission procedures, eligibility criteria, scholarships and deadlines.
  • Assist students with documentation and application submission.
  • Sales & Target Achievement:
  • Meet daily/weekly/monthly targets for calls, follow-ups, and enrollments.
  • Convince and convert potential leads into admissions.
  • Coordination & Reporting:
  • Work closely with the admission and marketing teams.
  • Maintain reports on student inquiries, conversion rates, and counseling effectiveness.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Education: 12th Pass Candidate Should
  • Experience: 0-1 years of experience in telecalling, student counseling, or sales.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication ( regional languages preferred).
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build rapport with students and parents.
  • Sales & Persuasion: Convincing skills to convert inquiries into enrollments.
  • Computer Proficiency: Basic knowledge of MS Office, CRM tools, and database management.
  • Customer Service: Patience and problem-solving abilities to handle student queries effectively.
