Overview

The Admissions Director is responsible for leading and managing the entire admissions process for the school. This role ensures a seamless, professional, and mission-aligned experience for prospective students and families. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, exceptional communication abilities, and a deep understanding of international educationparticularly the IB framework.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and implement the school’s annual admissions strategy and enrollment targets.
  • Analyze market trends, parent expectations, and competitive landscapes to support strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate with the Head of School and leadership team to align admissions goals with the school’s long-term vision.

Admissions Operations

  • Manage the complete admissions cycle, from initial inquiry to enrollment and onboarding.
  • Oversee school tours, parent orientations, assessments, student interactions, and selection processes.
  • Ensure timely and transparent communication with prospective families.
  • Maintain accurate records, data, and reports using admissions management systems.

Marketing & Outreach

  • Partner with the communications/marketing team to design campaigns, events, and outreach programs.
  • Represent the school at education fairs, community events, and networking platforms.
  • Build strong relationships with feeder schools, educational consultants, and external agencies.

Team Management

  • Lead and mentor the admissions team to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Set performance goals, conduct reviews, and ensure professional development.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Work closely with academic coordinators, program heads, and pastoral teams to evaluate student fit and readiness.
  • Align admissions decisions with IB values and school ethos.

Compliance & Standards

  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and school policies.
  • Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards throughout the admissions process.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in Education, Marketing, or Management preferred.
  • Minimum 7–10 years of experience in school admissions or related roles, preferably in an IB or international school setting.
  • Strong understanding of IB programmes (PYP, MYP, DP) is highly desirable.
  • Proven leadership experience and ability to manage teams.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
