Accounts Payable Executive

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive, review, and verify vendor invoices and payment requests.
  
• Match invoices with purchase orders (PO) and goods receipt notes (GRN).
  
• Ensure accurate coding of expenses to the appropriate ledger accounts.
  
• Prepare payment proposals and process payments through online banking or cheques.
  
• Maintain payment schedules to ensure timely vendor settlements.
  
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
  
• Verify staff expense claims and reimbursements in line with company policy.
  
• Process travel and petty cash expenses, ensuring accurate documentation.
  
• Respond to vendor queries and resolve invoice/payment issues.
  
• Maintain updated vendor records, including bank details and statutory compliance documents (GST, PAN, etc.)
  
• Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, and other statutory requirements.
  
• Assist in monthly closing by providing accurate payable data.
  
• Assist internal and external auditors by providing required documents and explanations.
  
• Maintain organized records of all AP transactions for audit readiness.
  

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of Accounts Payable processes, GST, and TDS.
  
• Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (Ms 365 Dynamics).
  
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelors degree in Commerce/Accounting or related field.
  
• 5-9 years of experience in Accounts Payable, preferably in FMCG/Manufacturing.
  
• Familiarity with ERP accounting systems is an added advantage.
