Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Sales Accounting:
Manage end-to-end sales accounting including invoicing, credit notes, sales returns, and revenue recognition with accurate reconciliation and MIS reporting.
Receivable Management:
Monitor outstanding receivables, enforce credit controls, follow up on overdue payments, resolve disputes, and ensure timely collections with minimal bad debts.
GST Compliance:
Ensure accurate GST treatment on sales, prepare and file returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B), reconcile with GST portal, and maintain documentation for audits and assessments.
Controls & Processes:
Strengthen internal controls in sales and receivables, streamline coordination with depots, sales, and logistics, and support ERP/accounting system enhancements.
Team & Coordination:
Lead the accounts team handling billing, receivables, and GST; train on updated practices; and collaborate closely with sales, finance, and operations teams.
Audit & Reporting:
Support statutory, internal, and GST audits with timely reconciliations and data; prepare ageing analysis, compliance reports, and receivable dashboards for management.

Preferred candidate profile

Commerce graduate / Postgraduate with 10 or 15 years of experience in Accounts, preferably in FMCG or food manufacturing.
Strong knowledge of
sales accounting, receivable management, and GST compliance
.
Well-versed in
Tally ERP
and proficient in MS Excel for reconciliations and reporting.
Experience in handling audits, statutory filings, and credit control.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and team management skills with the ability to coordinate across sales, depots, and finance functions.
