Responsibilities:

• Data Entry and Recording Transactions:
• Assist with recording daily financial transactions (sales, expenses, etc.) in accounting software or ledgers.
• Update and maintain financial records, ensuring they are accurate and up-to-date.
• Bank Reconciliation:
• Help reconcile bank statements with internal financial records to ensure accuracy.
• Invoice Processing:
• Assist with the preparation, issuance, and processing of invoices.
• Track payments and manage accounts payable/receivable.
• Assist in Financial Reporting:
• Help prepare financial statements (balance sheets, profit and loss statements) and reports for management.
• Assist in preparing month-end or year-end closing reports.
• Assist with Budgeting:
• Support in the preparation of budget reports and forecasts.
• Track expenses and help monitor the company's budget performance.
• Supporting Audits:
• Assist in gathering and organizing documentation for internal or external audits.
• Help ensure that the company’s accounting practices comply with relevant laws and regulations.
• General Office Support:
• Provide general clerical support to the accounting team, including filing documents, managing financial records, and maintaining spreadsheets.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Educational Background:
• Accounts Intern would be pursuing or have completed a plus two and diploma in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Attention to Detail:
• Precision is critical in accounting; an intern must be detail-oriented when handling financial data.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets is often required for data entry, reporting, and analysis.
• Familiarity with accounting software or enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is a plus.
• Communication Skills:
• Good verbal and written communication skills to interact with team members and other departments.
• Organizational Skills:
• The ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
• Analytical Skills:
• Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and provide insights.
