Accounts Executive

JOB PURPOSE
The Accounts Executive will be responsible for handling day-to-day accounting operations, project billing, statutory compliance, and timely collection of payments for water and wastewater treatment projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• ACCOUNTS & BOOKKEEPING
• Maintain books of accounts including cash book, bank book, sales and purchase registers
• Record all financial transactions accurately in accounting software
• Perform bank reconciliations on a regular basis
• PROJECT BILLING & INVOICING
• Prepare and issue project invoices as per PO terms and milestones
• Ensure correct GST classification, HSN codes, and tax calculations
• Maintain project-wise billing and payment status
• COLLECTION & RECEIVABLE FOLLOW-UP
• Follow up with clients for advance, milestone, retention, and final payments
• Coordinate with Sales and Project teams for payment realization
• Maintain ageing reports and receivable tracking
• GST & STATUTORY COMPLIANCE
• Prepare and file GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, etc.)
• Coordinate with consultants for TDS, Income Tax, and statutory filings
• Ensure compliance with applicable financial and tax regulations
• VENDOR & PURCHASE ACCOUNTING
• Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments
• Maintain supplier ledgers and reconcile balances
• Coordinate with Purchase team for payment approvals
• DOCUMENTATION & FINANCIAL RECORDS
• Maintain PO, invoice, delivery challan, and payment records
• Support audit requirements and statutory documentation
• Handle bank guarantees, advances, and security deposits
• COORDINATION & SUPPORT
• Coordinate with internal teams for project financial closure
• Assist management with MIS reports and cash flow statements
• Support final project closure and account settlement

• Timely invoicing
• Faster collection and reduced outstanding
• Accuracy in accounts and compliance
• Zero statutory penalties
• Proper project financial closure

QUALIFICATIONS

• B.Com / M.Com / Equivalent
• Knowledge of GST and basic taxation
• Experience in project accounting preferred

EXPERIENCE

• 2–5 years in Accounts
• Experience in EPC / Water / Infrastructure industry preferred

SKILLS REQUIRED

• Knowledge of accounting software (Tally / similar)
• Good Excel and documentation skills
• Strong follow-up and coordination ability
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to handle multiple projects

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹9,541.70 - ₹20,000.00 per month
