Accounts Assistant

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant / Accounts Assistant to support our finance team. This dual-role position will involve assisting in day-to-day accounting tasks, managing financial records, and supporting general accounts and administrative functions. It’s ideal for someone starting their career in finance and accounting with opportunities to learn and grow.

Key Responsibilities:Accounting Duties:

• Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
• Record daily financial transactions in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, Xero, SAP).
• Support the month-end and year-end close process.
• Assist in the preparation of journal entries and maintenance of the general ledger.
• Reconcile bank accounts and supplier/customer statements.

Accounts Support:

• Process accounts payable and receivable invoices and ensure timely payments.
• Assist with payroll preparation and related documentation.
• Handle petty cash and expense reimbursements.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date filing of all financial documents.
• Communicate with vendors, clients, and other departments regarding financial transactions.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
• 0–2 years of experience in accounting or a related field (internships included).
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles and standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (experience with [insert software name] is a plus).
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and time management skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications (Optional):

• Experience or training in GST/VAT, payroll, or tax filing.
• Familiarity with financial regulations relevant to your country or industry.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
