Accounts And Finance Manager (6 days working )

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Accounting & Reporting

Oversee day-to-day accounting operations of the plant, including accounts payable, receivable and general ledger.

Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closings.

Prepare and review financial statements, MIS reports, and variance analyses.

Monitor working capital, cash flow, and fund management at the plant level.

Maintain compliance with company accounting policies and statutory regulations.

2. Costing & Budgeting

Prepare annual plant budgets and rolling forecasts in coordination with production and operations teams.

Track actual vs. budgeted performance and analyze cost variances (material, labor, overheads).

Maintain and monitor standard costing systems, BOMs, and product costing.

Analyze manufacturing cost drivers, yield losses, and wastages.

Recommend cost reduction initiatives and productivity improvements.

3. Internal Controls & Compliance

Implement and enforce strong internal controls across all finance and operational areas.

Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements (GST, TDS, Income Tax, PF, ESI, Excise, etc.).

Liaise with internal and external auditors and ensure timely closure of audit observations.

Safeguard plant assets through regular physical verification and control mechanisms.

Ensure adherence to corporate governance, financial SOPs, and accounting standards.

4. Inventory & Material Accounting

Monitor and reconcile raw material, WIP, and finished goods inventories.

Review daily production, consumption, and wastage reports.

Coordinate with Stores and Production teams for periodic stock verification.

Implement robust inventory management and valuation systems.

5. Strategic & Operational Support

Partner with the Plant Head and Operations team to support decision-making through financial insights.

Analyze operational KPIs (OEE, yield, downtime, productivity) from a financial perspective.

Support CapEx proposals, feasibility studies, and ROI analysis for plant expansion or new projects.

Provide financial analysis for make-or-buy and process improvement decisions.

6. Team Management & Development

Lead, mentor, and develop plant finance and accounts team members.

Foster a culture of accountability, accuracy, and process improvement.

Coordinate with corporate finance for consolidation, audits, and financial reviews.

Education:

Bachelors or Masters degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance.

Experience:

Minimum 815 years of experience in plant finance, accounting, and cost control within an FMCG, food processing, or manufacturing environment.

Technical Skills:

Strong knowledge of SAP / ERP systems, cost accounting, and financial reporting.

Proficiency in Excel, financial modeling, and data analysis tools.

Knowledge of:

Manufacturing accounting, inventory management, and statutory compliance.

Indian accounting standards and local tax laws (GST, TDS, etc.).
