The Accounting Specialist will work with other members of the Professional Services Accounting team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and invoicing. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, who exhibits excellent client service, drives process efficiency, and partners well with others. Key Roles and Responsibilities
Review and approve contractor bills to ensure accurate coding for financial reportingRecord cash receipts to proper account and updates account reconciliationsAssist in process to ensure invoices are submitted and approved in customer portalsPrepare and distribute customer invoices, ensuring timely and accurate informationInteract with Sales and Operations teams to ensure accuracy of customer correspondenceIdentify opportunities to improve efficiencies across teamsAssist team members with special projects as neededMaintain positive relationships with stakeholders and customers
Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Degree in Accounting/FinanceStrong knowledge of Microsoft ExcelExperience range- 4 to 6 yearsCritical thinking and analytical skills, desire to learn processes from beginning to endPreferred knowledge and experience with financial reporting systems, including NetSuite and SalesForceExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work effectively under tight timelines and schedulesProactively and effectively communicate status and challenges encountered
