Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for an Accounting Associate. The Accounting Associate will be responsible for preparing financial statements, managing journal entries, utilizing accounting software, and performing financial analysis. Daily tasks include maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and supporting the finance department in decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date bookkeeping records (AP/AR, journal entries, bank reconciliations)
• Assist in month-end and year-end close processes
• Prepare and reconcile general ledger accounts
• Support VAT filings and assist with financial reporting as needed
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on accounting queries
• Ensure compliance with local financial regulations and internal policies

🧾 Requirements:

• 2–3 years of experience in accounting/bookkeeping
• Strong understanding of German accounting standards and VAT treatment

• Must be fluent in German (speaking and reading)

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
