Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Executive to join our growing startup team. The ideal candidate will handle day-to-day financial operations, support in budgeting, maintain records, and ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies. This role requires flexibility, a startup mindset, and a willingness to take on a broad range of responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle day-to-day accounting tasks such as invoicing, payment processing, and expense tracking
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software
• Prepare bank reconciliations, vendor payments, and petty cash handling
• Support monthly and yearly closing processes
• Generate financial reports for management review
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements such as GST, TDS, PF, and ESI filings
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and vendors
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
• Maintain proper documentation for all transactions and approvals
• Contribute to improving internal financial processes and controls

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 1–3 years of experience in accounting or finance (startup experience a plus)
• Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software
• Good understanding of accounting principles and statutory compliance
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced startup environment
• Excellent communication and time management skills

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of cloud-based accounting tools
• Experience with startup financial processes and cost control
• Familiarity with fundraising and investor reporting (a plus)
