Accountant

As an Accountant, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing financial transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations. Your duties will include preparing financial statements, maintaining records, analyzing financial data, and assisting in budgeting and forecasting. - Prepare and analyze financial statements such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements - Maintain the general ledger by ensuring accurate and timely entries, including recording journal entries - Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and other financial records - Prepare tax returns and ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations - Assist in preparing budgets and financial forecasts to provide insights into business performance - Support external auditors during audits and ensure proper documentation is available for review - Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for cost-saving or process improvements - Establish and maintain internal controls to protect financial assets and prevent fraud - Stay up-to-date with financial regulations and accounting standards to ensure company compliance To qualify for this role, you should: - Hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field - Have proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle - Possess a strong understanding of financial regulations and accounting principles - Demonstrate excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to analyze complex financial data - Have strong communication skills to collaborate across departments - Have at least 1 year of experience in accounting, with exposure to financial reporting, reconciliation, and tax preparation This is a full-time, in-office position with occasional overtime during financial reporting periods or audit preparation.
