Accountant / Accounting Assistant

Role Description:

The Accountant / Accounting Assistant supports financial operations by maintaining accurate records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This role involves processing transactions, reconciling accounts, and assisting in budgeting and financial analysis. The Accountant collaborates with internal teams to support smooth financial management and informed decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Record and process financial transactions accurately and timely.
• Reconcile bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• Prepare financial reports, summaries, and supporting documentation.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Maintain organized financial records and filing systems.
• Assist with audits, tax filings, and financial reviews.
• Collaborate with other departments to support financial data needs.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent knowledge.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles, standards, and practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in financial data handling.
• Good organizational and time management abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a professional environment.
