Account Intern

Job Description:

We are looking for a motivated and eager Accounting Intern to join our team. This internship offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a real-world accounting environment, working closely with experienced professionals. The intern will assist in various accounting tasks, gaining insight into financial principles and practices, while developing valuable skills for a career in accounting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the team with data entry, filing, and maintaining accurate financial records.

• Participate in the preparation of journal entries and financial statements.

• Reconcile bank statements and assist in monthly and quarterly financial closing processes.

• Help with accounts payable and receivable tasks, including processing invoices and managing transactions.

• Learn and use accounting software (Tally) for daily financial tasks.

• Assist in the preparation of tax returns and regulatory filings.

• Ensure accuracy in documentation and reporting while following company policies and accounting standards.

• Collaborate with team members on research, data analysis, and preparing presentations.

• Handle confidential information with professionalism and integrity.

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Basic understanding of accounting and financial principles (completion of introductory accounting courses is preferred).

• Strong proficiency with computers and experience with accounting software is a plus.

• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to work well in a team environment and independently.

• A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and eagerness to take on new challenges.
