Academic Counselor

Career Guidance & Assessment

• Conduct aptitude, personality, interest, and skill assessments.
• Help students/clients identify strengths, weaknesses, and career preferences.
• Interpret assessment results and provide personalized career recommendations.

2. Individual & Group Counselling

• Offer one-on-one counselling sessions to discuss career goals and challenges.
• Organize group workshops on career planning, job search skills, and motivation.
• Provide guidance on academic pathways, course choices, and training options.

3. Providing Career Information

• Share up-to-date information on careers, industries, job trends, salaries, and qualifications.
• Explain admission procedures, entrance exams, and eligibility criteria.
• Guide students about scholarships, internships, and skill-development programs.

4. Goal Setting & Career Planning

• Help clients create short-term and long-term career plans.
• Assist in setting realistic and achievable academic and career goals.
• Support students in building a roadmap for higher education or job placement.

5. Job Readiness Training

• Train clients in resume writing, interview skills, communication, and professional etiquette.
• Teach job search strategies, networking skills, and workplace expectations.
• Provide support for internship and job applications.

6. Emotional & Motivational Support

• Address academic stress, career confusion, self-esteem issues, and fear of failure.
• Encourage confidence-building and decision-making skills.

7. Collaboration & Coordination

• Work with teachers, parents, institutions, and employers to support student development.
• Coordinate career fairs, seminars, and campus recruitment activities.

8. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain detailed records of counselling sessions and client progress.
• Prepare reports, career plans, and follow-up action plans.

9. Continuous Learning & Market Research

• Stay updated with changing job markets, industry demands, and new educational programs.
• Network with professionals, training institutes, and employers.

10. Ethical & Professional Practices

• Ensure confidentiality and professionalism.
• Provide unbiased and ethical career guidance.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹9,095.11 - ₹40,815.72 per month
