Job Title: Academic Counselor

Job Summary:

We are looking for a motivated Academic Counselor to guide students in their academic and career decisions while promoting and selling educational programs, courses, and services. The ideal candidate will have strong counseling skills, a passion for education, and the ability to effectively communicate program benefits to prospective students and their parents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Counsel students and parents regarding academic pathways, career options, course selection, and exam preparation strategies.
• Understand the needs of prospective students and recommend suitable academic programs or coaching solutions offered by the institution.
• Act as a point of contact for prospective students, explain course details, program benefits, fees, and career outcomes.
• Meet or exceed monthly sales targets by converting counseling sessions into program enrollments.
• Follow up with leads generated through various sources (walk-ins, online inquiries, tele-calls, etc.).
• Maintain and update accurate records of counseling sessions, lead progress, and student interactions in CRM or student management systems.
• Conduct regular telephonic and in-person counseling sessions to close enrollment deals.
• Organize and participate in promotional events, seminars, webinars, and open houses to attract prospective students.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to improve lead generation strategies and provide feedback on market trends and customer needs.
• Educate students and parents about financing options, scholarships, and payment plans.
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with students and parents to promote brand loyalty and referrals.
• Ensure compliance with institutional sales processes, ethical counseling standards, and data confidentiality.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in any field
• Prior experience in academic counseling, education sales, or admission consultancy preferred.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Results-driven with a passion for helping students while achieving sales targets.
• Ability to explain complex academic programs in a clear, relatable manner.
• Comfortable handling objections and providing solutions to concerns.
• Proficient in CRM tools, Microsoft Office, and online communication platforms.

Pay: ₹16,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
