Academic Counselor

Ø Summary:

The Academic Counselor will play a crucial role in supporting the academic success and overall well being of students enrolled in Chitkara University Online programs. The counselor will provide guidance on academic progress, and ensuring students have the resources and support they ne to thrive in the online learning environment.

Ø Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Pre-Admission & Admission Support:

* Assist prospective students with inquiries about programs, admission requirements, and enrolment processes.

* Conduct follow-ups with applicants to address any questions or concerns.

* Provide information on registration payments and assist with payment processing.

2. Post – Admission support:

* Conduct welcome calls to newly admitted students, providing program details and answering questions.

* Assist students with navigating the Learning Management System (LMS) and other online platforms.

* Offer support and referrals for students facing personal or academic challenges.

*Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records.

* Monitor student progress and identify at-risk students who may need additional support.

3. Student engagement and success

* Foster a positive and supportive learning environment for online students.

* Collaborate with faculty to address student concerns and facilitate communication.

* Maintain regular communication with students through email, phone calls, and online platforms.

Ø Skills:

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

* Proficiency in using technology and online learning platforms.

* Knowledge of student success strategies and best practices.

Ø Additional Information:

· This is full time position.

· The position may involve interacting with students from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
