Role & responsibilities

Primary Role:

• Leads and manages the Youth Home, creating a safe, nurturing, and structured environment for youths.
• Acts as a child-care professional while offering emotional security and personal support to each youth.

Care and Development of Youths:

• Shares his life with the youths, fostering emotional bonds and stable relationships.
• Takes direct responsibility for the care, guidance, and development of each youth.
• Guides youths toward self-sufficiency and independence.
• Involves youths in the decision-making process within the home.
• Supports youths academically during evening study sessions, as per his capability.
• Ensures daily prayers are conducted in the Youth Home.
• Plays indoor and outdoor games to promote physical and emotional well-being.
• Facilitates visits of the SOS Mother in consultation with the Village Director.

Administrative and Logistical Responsibilities:

• Maintains the Youth Home allowance register, subject to checks by the Youth Co-worker.
• Takes daily attendance of all youths in the Youth Home.
• Maintains articles and equipment of the Youth Home to ensure proper upkeep and functionality.

Collaboration and Support:

• Seeks expert advice from other village co-workers when needed for the well-being of the youths.
• Coordinates with and receives support from:
• Village Director for professional development and task-related support.
• Youth Co-workers for practical and expert assistance based on the Youth Homes needs and budget.

Preferred candidate profile

• Qualification:

  10th or 12th Pass, one year diploma/certificate in nursing, cooking, hospitality, child care or related field, ITI.

• Age

  : Minimum age required is 30 to 40 years.

• Experience Required:

  Minimum years of experience required is 2 - 3 years. Preference will be given to candidates who have prior experience of Housekeeping, Cooking, Hospitality, Nursing, School Warden. The youth father is a residential role in the youth house but without their families being with them. Freshers can also be considered.
