About the Role

We are looking for Writers (India-Based Writer for the US Market) to adapt long-form fiction into serialized, audio-first scripts tailored for American audiences.

This role is ideal for writers with a strong literature background and exceptional command over the English language, who can reinterpret stories with cultural sensitivity, emotional depth, and audience relevance. If you have prior experience adapting content or writing for international markets, it’s a significant advantage.

What You’ll Do

Story Adaptation & Localization

• Adapt long-form fiction into engaging, serialized audio screenplays for US listeners
• Localize stories for American audiences - tone, dialogue, cultural cues, and emotional relevance
• Retain the heart and intent of original narratives while making them resonate with US audience expectations

Content Review & Quality Assurance

• Read, review, and edit

  40- 60 chapters weekly

  , refining pacing, structure, and dialogue
• Flag inconsistencies in tone, character arcs, logic, and narrative flow
• Ensure scripts reflect the immersive, emotionally rich standards of Pocket FM originals

Collaboration & Pipeline Management

• Work closely with Creative Leads to maintain stylistic, tonal, and narrative consistency
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth, on-time delivery of high-quality adaptations
• Contribute fresh ideas to elevate storytelling formats, character engagement, and emotional impact

What We’re Looking For

• 3–6 years

  of experience in fiction writing, scriptwriting, adaptations, editing, or storytelling roles
• Preferably from a

  literature, creative writing, or humanities background

• Strong narrative instincts with an ability to structure serialized stories that build binge-worthiness

• Exceptional English proficiency

  —style, tone, rhythm, and narrative clarity must be top tier
• Deep cultural fluency and an intuitive understanding of

  US audience sensibilities

• Experience rewriting, adapting, or localizing content for new regions or formats is a strong plus
• Meticulous editorial discipline and the ability to handle high-volume, high-quality creative output
• Strong ownership mindset and comfort managing multiple deadlines without compromising quality
