Workday QA Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Perform end-to-end functional, regression, UAT, and integration testing across Workday modules such as

  HCM, Payroll, Benefits, Time Tracking, Absence, Recruiting, Learning, Compensation, Financial Accounting, Procurement, Projects, Grants, Revenue Management, Assets, Expenses, Adaptive Planning, PSA, Student, Workday Help, Workday Journeys, Workforce Planning, People Analytics

  .
• Validate and test

  Workday Integrations

  including

  Studio, EIB, RaaS, Prism Analytics, Integration Cloud, Workday Extend

  , and inbound/outbound data flows.
• Execute automated regression scripts using

  AccelQ / Selenium

  and support automation coverage for high-volume scenarios.
• Use

  Smartsheet / Jira

  for test planning, test case repository, execution tracking, reporting, defect management, and traceability.
• Perform

  data validation and data reconciliation

  using tools like

  Beyond Compare

  for HR/employee/finance datasets.
• Analyze integration payloads (XML/JSON), security roles, business process flows, and downstream impacts.
• Prepare dashboards and reports for execution status, defect metrics, and Workday release cycle testing.
• Collaborate closely with functional consultants, business SMEs, developers, and project managers.

Required Skills

• 6–8 years of overall QA experience, with

  4+ years in Workday testing

  .
• Strong functional knowledge across major Workday HCM and Financial modules.
• Hands-on experience in

  E2E testing, regression cycles, tenant migration testing, and release validation

  .
• Experience working with

  AccelQ, Selenium, Smartsheet, Jira, Beyond Compare

  , and reporting dashboards.
• Strong understanding of integrations, data mapping, security roles, business process events, and report validations.
• Excellent documentation skills and ability to manage complete QA lifecycle independently.
• Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills.

Nice to Have

• Workday or ISTQB certification.
• Knowledge of API testing (Postman/Rest Assured).
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
