Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for a WordPress Developer. The WordPress Developer will be responsible for developing and maintaining both the front-end and back-end of WordPress sites, ensuring responsive web design, and creating custom themes and plugins. Day-to-day tasks will include coding, designing, and debugging web applications, as well as collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver project objectives.

• Experience with Extra/Divi by Elegant Themes
• Implement SEO, schema, and Google News-compliant features
• Knowledge of WordPress Core files, back end, and writing custom codes.
• Knowledge of Css, Js files and should be able to customize the sites.
• Configure sitemaps, author bios, categories, and editorial sections
• Ensure fast load time, mobile responsiveness, and security
• Install and configure plugins for schema, caching, compression, and spam control
• Support Google Publisher Center submissions
• Knowledge of making sites 100% SEO Friendly.

• Experience working with news agencies or SEO teams
• Design/UI skills for clean news layouts
• Familiarity with content automation
• Google Search Console and Analytics setup
