As a Window Admin at Freepost, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Windows server operating systems such as Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 & 2024. Your key responsibilities will include: - Deploying and configuring Windows Server features like Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and more. - Applying security patches, updates, and service packs to Windows servers and systems. - Implementing and enforcing security best practices for users, groups, and permissions, as well as managing backup and disaster recovery solutions. - Managing firewalls, antivirus software, and endpoint security. - Identifying and troubleshooting performance issues, system errors, or hardware failures. - Analyzing system logs and event logs to ensure system health and identify potential problems. - Administering user accounts, permissions, and access controls to maintain security and operational efficiency. - Performing disaster recovery (DR) testing and managing recovery operations. - Scheduling and deploying security patches and software updates to all Windows systems. - Ensuring systems are updated with the latest security patches to prevent vulnerabilities. - Performing regular hardware maintenance and upgrades as needed, such as adding RAM, storage, or replacing faulty hardware. - Configuring and maintaining network services, including DNS, DHCP, VPN, and remote desktop. - Handling BAU activities like availability monitoring, administration, performance monitoring and tuning, diskspace management for Windows, Linux, and VM environment. - Capacity management: Identifying and terminating processes not required to release capacity if the server is running close to capacity. Qualifications required for this role include a Degree/Diploma, 5 years of relevant experience in the specific domain, 6 years of total experience, and certification in MCSE/MCSA (Windows OS). Please note that this position is Contractual/Temporary and the work location is in person at Kolkata.
