Winding Process Expert - HVDC Transformers

As a Winding Process Expert - HVDC Transformers at Hitachi Energy, your role involves supporting the production team to ensure full compliance with process parameters and suggesting relevant improvements. You will be responsible for leading investigations and Root Cause Analyses (RCAs), analyzing process records in cases of Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), failures, or quality issues. Collaboration with GPG process experts, local technical experts, production, and quality teams is essential to implement correct production processes, aiming to reduce test failures & Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ), improve overall Quality and Operations (Q&O) performance, and enhance customer satisfaction. Reporting to the Factory Quality Manager and functionally to HVDC Quality and Operation specialist for Hub APMEA. Your key responsibilities include: - Supporting factory teams in complying with process parameters - Collaborating with production and QA teams to resolve issues and ensure correct processes are followed - Leading/supporting the RCA process for in-depth analysis of NCRs or quality issues - Working with GPG experts to implement latest process developments and provide feedback for process improvement - Actively participating in process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA) - Providing input to operations teams for End of Capacitor (EOC) related to manufacturing capability - Leading/supporting continuous improvement projects for productivity and quality enhancement - Contributing to the reduction of Test Failures & COPQ, improving overall Q&O performance and customer satisfaction - Supporting quality teams in process audits and control - Assisting in supplier process audits and vendor development - Supporting capex project execution - Training workmen and new engineers, and providing relevant training materials - Embodying Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity Your qualifications should include: - Bachelor's degree in engineering; candidates with over 20 years of experience in winding manufacturing without an engineering degree may also apply - Minimum 10 years of experience in the power transformers industry in quality or manufacturing - Excellent problem-solving skills - Effective leadership, management, and engagement with cross-functional teams - Strong communication skills to interact with internal customers at all organizational levels - Proficiency in spoken and written English language If you require accessibility assistance or accommodations during the job application process due to a disability, please complete a general inquiry form on the Hitachi Energy website.
