Job Description

As a Windchill Infrastructure Deployment Expert, you will be a vital part of the team, focusing on enhancing the PLM infrastructure and ensuring seamless system integration. Your expertise in server and network configurations, virtualization, and cloud technologies will be key to the success of our projects, including the PLM-specific systems. Key Responsibilities: - Analyze and optimize the existing IT landscape, including servers, networks, storage, and security. - Assess the current PLM system architecture and evaluate the entire system landscape. - Document system topologies, dependencies, and performance and security measures. - Identify weaknesses and bottlenecks in the system and propose solutions. - Design an optimized PLM infrastructure and plan migration strategies and transition phases. - Develop decision templates for management to facilitate informed choices. Key Requirements: - Strong knowledge of Windows/Linux servers, DNS, VPN, firewalls, and load balancing. - Experience with virtualization and cloud technologies such as VMware, Azure/AWS, and hybrid PLM architectures. - In-depth understanding of PLM systems like Siemens Teamcenter, Windchill, and 3DEXPERIENCE. - Proficiency in database management, including Oracle and MS SQL, covering backup, performance, and high availability. - Ability to integrate systems for ERP, CAD, DMS connections using REST/SOAP APIs. - Expertise in access management and SSO using LDAP, Active Directory, and SAML. - Operational skills in release, patch, and change management, fostering collaborative teamwork. - Excellent documentation and project collaboration skills. - Fluency in German and English with strong communication abilities. Nice to Have: - Familiarity with ITIL and agile methodologies. - Previous experience managing PLM projects in international settings. This position focuses on defining and optimizing the PLM landscape, with potential for remote work.
