Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role at Ultimate Alloys Private Limited, Coimbatore.

The candidate will be responsible for welding inspection, quality control, and compliance with applicable welding standards, while ensuring safety and maintaining accurate inspection records.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect welded joints as per approved standards and procedures
• Welding map preparation
• Ensure adherence to welding quality requirements and safety regulations
• Perform and evaluate

  NDT inspections

  (UT, MT, RT, PT as applicable)
• Review and maintain

  WPS, PQR, and WPQ

  documentation
• Identify welding defects and recommend corrective and preventive actions
• Coordinate with production and quality teams to improve welding quality
• Maintain inspection reports, records, and traceability documents

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Welding / Mechanical Engineering or related field
• CSWIP Welding Inspector certification (mandatory)
• NDT Level II certification (UT / MT / RT / PT)
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a steel casting foundry or heavy engineering industry
• Strong knowledge of metallurgy and steel casting processes
• Proficiency in NDT methods (UT, MT, RT, PT)
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Good documentation and reporting abilities
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• High attention to quality and safety
