Responsible for fitting and joining, fabricating, and repairing metal and other wieldable material by applying appropriate welding techniques in accordance with specifications and schedules. Weld steel components with welding equipment as specified by layouts, engineering drawings, work orders, or verbal instructions. Sets-up, laying out work using jigs/fixtures or hand layouts to fabricate parts and/or rework installations and sub-assemblies; works with mechanics to assist in the fabrication or welding of multi-component parts; Inspect and correct welds as necessary to meet specifications Carries out tasks/ works assigned by Welding Foreman/ Shift Incharge and complete within the time allotted. Adheres work place safety standards including DGMS, OSHAS, PCB and ISO 14001 guidelines. Cutting Torch Different types welding equipment Drills Grinders Hand and Power Tools Manual/Electrical Hoists Safety Gears [PPE] •Completion of tasks assigned by Welding Foreman/ Shift Incharge [P&M]. •Cleaning and Housekeeping Standards followed. •Safety practice at work ensured, including wearing of PPE. •Work discipline and alertness.
