Web Developer Internship

XL Technologies is looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated Web Developer Intern to join our growing team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience, learn from experienced professionals, and contribute to real-world projects.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the development and customization of WordPress themes and plugins.
• Write clean, well-documented, and efficient code using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
• Help optimize WordPress websites for performance, speed, and responsiveness.
• Collaborate with senior developers and designers to understand project requirements.
• Assist in testing and debugging websites to ensure functionality and cross-browser compatibility.
• Learn and apply best practices for WordPress development, security, and SEO.
• Contribute to content updates and website maintenance tasks.
• Research and implement new WordPress features and industry trends.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to brainstorming sessions.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Basic understanding of web development fundamentals (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
• Familiarity with WordPress as a CMS (e.g., experience creating posts, pages, installing themes/plugins).
• Basic knowledge of PHP is a plus, or a strong willingness to learn.
• Enthusiasm for learning and a strong desire to pursue a career in web development.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team environment.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree/diploma in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Experience with any page builders (e.g., Elementor, Divi ).
• Basic understanding of responsive design principles.
• Personal projects or a portfolio showcasing your web development work (even small ones!).
