Web-based AR System Developer

We're looking for a skilled and creative Web-based AR Developer to join our team to develop intuitive and high-performance AR experiences that work directly in the browser.

Role Overview

As a Web-based AR System Developer, you will be responsible for designing and developing browser-based AR applications using technologies like WebXR, WebAR, Three.js, and AR.js. You'll work closely with our UI/UX, mapping, and backend teams to create interactive and scalable AR experiences for real-world environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop interactive WebAR applications that run in mobile and desktop browsers.
• Integrate AR content with spatial mapping and real-world coordinate systems (e.g., GPS, SLAM).
• Develop 3D content rendering using Three.js or similar libraries.
• Work with APIs and data services to render dynamic AR content.
• Optimize performance and ensure cross-browser compatibility.
• Collaborate with designers, product managers, and backend developers to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Conduct testing and debugging of AR experiences across platforms.
• Stay updated with the latest trends in WebXR, AR frameworks, and spatial computing.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in web development with a focus on AR or 3D rendering.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS.
• Experience with WebXR, WebAR, or AR.js.
• Hands-on experience with Three.js or Babylon.js.
• Understanding of 3D coordinate systems, camera models, and AR tracking technologies.
• Familiarity with integrating sensor data (e.g., GPS, gyroscope, accelerometer).
• Ability to optimize performance for mobile web AR.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred (Bonus) Skills

• Experience with A-Frame or 8thWall.
• Familiarity with SLAM, image recognition, or marker-based tracking.
• Experience working with geospatial data or indoor maps.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git).
• Previous experience in AR navigation or tourism/zoo/expo-based AR systems.
