Warehouse Officer

Job Purpose

The Warehouse Officer is responsible for the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods. This role ensures proper inventory management, maintains warehouse organization, and supports smooth logistics operations while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Inventory Management

• Receive, inspect, and record incoming materials and products.
• Maintain accurate stock levels through regular cycle counts and inventory audits.
• Update warehouse management systems (WMS) and ensure accurate documentation.
• Report stock discrepancies, damages, or losses promptly.

2. Storage & Handling

• Ensure proper storage, labeling, and stacking of goods according to company standards.
• Implement First-In-First-Out (FIFO) / First-Expire-First-Out (FEFO) practices.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse area.

3. Dispatch & Distribution

• Prepare and verify outgoing shipments against delivery orders and invoices.
• Coordinate with logistics and transport teams for timely delivery.
• Ensure proper packaging, loading, and securing of goods.

4. Compliance & Safety

• Adhere to workplace safety rules and use proper handling equipment.
• Maintain compliance with company policies, health, and safety regulations.
• Support audits and inspections when required.

5. Coordination & Reporting

• Work closely with procurement, production, and logistics departments.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly warehouse reports.
• Identify and suggest process improvements for warehouse efficiency.
