Job Description

Key Responsibilities Warehouse workers perform a variety of tasks that together ensure the warehouse operates smoothly and that customer satisfaction goals are met. Primary responsibilities include: Receiving, checking, and storing incoming goods. Picking, packing, and dispatching outgoing goods. Maintaining inventory control, ensuring no discrepancies in stock levels. Operating warehouse machinery such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely. Ensuring the warehouse environment remains clean, tidy, and safe. Conducting regular inventory audits and reporting any stock issues or discrepancies to the warehouse supervisor. Tasks and Duties The day-to-day tasks of a warehouse worker are diverse and can vary depending on the specific needs of the warehouse or the industry. Typical daily duties might include: Loading and unloading goods from delivery trucks or containers. Labeling goods stored in the warehouse for easy inventory tracking and retrieval. Preparing shipping documents and handling logistics details for outgoing shipments. Inspecting inventory for damages and reporting these to management. Following health and safety guidelines and company-specific warehouse procedures. Assisting in the coordination of logistics and supply chain operations within the warehouse.
