Role and Responsibilities – Female Hostel Warden Position: Female Hostel Warden Reporting to: HR Department / General Manager Accommodation: Hostel Accommodation Provided by the Management Primary Role:To ensure the smooth functioning, discipline, safety, and well-being of all female hostel residents, maintaining a clean and secure living environment in accordance with hospital policies. Key Responsibilities:Hostel Administration: Maintain an updated record of all hostel residents, including room allotments, attendance, and movement registers. Oversee check-in/check-out procedures for new and leaving residents. Report any vacancies or accommodation requirements to HR promptly. Safety and Security: Ensure the safety and security of all female staff and students residing in the hostel. Monitor visitor entry and maintain a visitor logbook. Ensure the hostel premises are locked and secured at designated times. Discipline and Conduct: Enforce hostel rules and regulations as per hospital policy. Address disciplinary issues and report serious concerns to HR/Management. Promote a culture of respect, cooperation, and hygiene among residents. Maintenance and Cleanliness: Supervise daily housekeeping and sanitation of rooms, corridors, washrooms, and common areas. Report maintenance issues (electrical, plumbing, furniture, etc.) to the Maintenance Department. Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness and orderliness. Health and Welfare: Monitor residents’ health and ensure timely medical attention if required. Provide emotional support and act as a point of contact for any hostel-related concerns. Coordination and Communication: Liaise with HR, Security, Maintenance, and Housekeeping departments for smooth hostel operations. Communicate any incidents, complaints, or emergencies immediately to management. Maintain a daily report/logbook of hostel activities and issues. Emergency Handling: Be available during emergencies and ensure residents’ safety during fire, medical, or security situations. Maintain a list of emergency contacts and first-aid supplies. Accommodation Provision:The Female Hostel Warden will be provided accommodation within the hostel premises as part of her role to ensure 24-hour supervision and immediate availability in case of emergencies.
