🏥 Staff Nurse – OBG (Obstetrics & Gynecology) DepartmentExperience Required: 5 to 8 Years Key Roles and Responsibilities:🧬 Clinical Care:Provide comprehensive nursing care to antenatal, intranatal, and postnatal mothers. Monitor and manage labor progress, assist in normal and assisted deliveries, and support cesarean procedures. Administer medications and IV fluids as prescribed and maintain accurate medication records. Monitor maternal and fetal vitals, promptly identifying and escalating any abnormalities. 👶 Newborn Care:Assist in neonatal resuscitation, immediate newborn care, and initiation of breastfeeding. Monitor newborn vitals, feeding, and hygiene in postnatal care settings. 🗂️ Documentation and Reporting:Maintain accurate patient records, charts, and delivery notes. Document obstetric emergencies, procedures, and interventions as per hospital policy. 🧑‍⚕️ Collaboration and Coordination:Work closely with gynecologists, pediatricians, anesthetists, and other healthcare providers. Coordinate with the operation theatre and NICU teams for emergency obstetric surgeries. 📚 Patient Education and Counseling:Provide education to mothers and families on postnatal care, breastfeeding, family planning, and hygiene. Counsel patients during high-risk pregnancies with empathy and professionalism. 🧼 Infection Control and Safety:Ensure strict aseptic techniques during deliveries and procedures. Comply with hospital infection control protocols and safety standards. 📊 Leadership and Mentorship:Guide and supervise junior staff and nursing interns. Take part in clinical audits, staff training programs, and departmental meetings.
