Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Second Mate Officer located in Chennai. The Second Mate Officer will be responsible for assisting in the navigation and management of the vessel, ensuring all safety regulations are met, overseeing the loading and unloading of cargo, and supervising the deck crew. The role also includes maintaining accurate logs and records, conducting safety drills, and ensuring the vessel's compliance with international maritime laws and regulations.

Qualifications

• Navigation and vessel management skills
• Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures
• Experience in cargo operations and supervision of the deck crew
• Proficiency in maintaining logs and records
• Understanding of international maritime laws and regulations
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Certification as a Second Mate Officer and relevant maritime licenses
