VP of Loan Operations

Role Overview: As a dynamic VP Loan Operations at Lorien Finance, you will be responsible for leading and growing the loan business across India. You will oversee the end-to-end business operations, including customer acquisition, disbursement, managing P&L, and scaling operations. The ideal candidate will have a mix of experience in fintech, lending, growth, and operational leadership. Key Responsibilities: - Business Strategy & P&L Ownership - Own and execute the India loan operations strategy aligned with global business goals. - Drive P&L ownership, optimize unit economics, and manage financial performance. - Lead annual business planning, forecasting, and budgeting. - Sales Funnel Optimization - Own and optimize the customer acquisition-to-disbursement journey. - Build and scale B2C digital acquisition channels and partnerships. - Drive conversion improvements across all funnel stages. - Business Growth & Partnerships - Identify, evaluate, and execute new business opportunities and partnerships. - Develop new financial products tailored to the Indian student loan market. - Manage strategic relationships with banks, NBFCs, DSAs, aggregators, and counselors. - Cross-Functional Leadership - Collaborate with product, credit, marketing, ops, and tech teams to execute initiatives. - Build and mentor a high-performing team across sales, ops, and business development. Qualification Required: Ideal Candidate Profile: Experience & Skills - 10+ years of experience in consumer lending, fintech, or financial services with at least 3+ years in a senior leadership role. - Proven track record of managing P&L, scaling a business, or launching lending products in India. - Deep understanding of the student loan space, digital lending landscape, and regulatory environment. - Strong analytical and execution skills with a history of achieving growth & revenue targets. - Experience in startups, high-growth environments, or cross-border fintech models. Education - MBA or equivalent preferred (not mandatory if offset by strong experience).,
