Job Summary
We are seeking an innovative and strategic Vice President of Marketing to lead and scale our marketing efforts at a high-growth hybrid product/services company. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive marketing strategy that drives brand awareness, customer acquisition, and revenue growth. You will oversee all aspects of marketing, including demand generation, product marketing, content creation, digital campaigns, and public relations. As a key member of the leadership team, you will collaborate closely with sales, product, and customer success teams to ensure alignment and deliver measurable business outcomes. The ideal candidate is a data-driven leader with a proven track record of building and scaling marketing functions in technology companies, a deep understanding of B2B customer journeys, and a passion for driving results in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy that balances product marketing and professional services promotion to achieve business objectives.
- Drive brand positioning, messaging, and awareness across target markets, ensuring alignment with the companys hybrid business model.
- Lead demand generation efforts to drive pipeline growth for both product sales and professional service engagements.
- Oversee go-to-market strategies for product launches and service offerings, working closely with product management and service delivery teams.
- Build and manage a high-performing marketing team, fostering collaboration and innovation to achieve results.
- Develop and optimize digital marketing campaigns, leveraging SEO, SEM, email marketing, social media, and other channels. Leverage 3rd party relationships such as lead-generation firms as well.
- Create thought leadership content such as white papers, case studies, webinars, and blog posts to establish the company as a leader in the industry.
- Collaborate with sales teams to develop sales enablement materials, including pitch decks, brochures, and ROI calculators for both products and services.
- Analyze customer data and market trends to identify new opportunities and refine marketing strategies.
- Manage and optimize the marketing budget to ensure cost-effective execution and maximum ROI.
- Establish KPIs and reporting frameworks to measure the performance of marketing efforts and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to build brand recognition and establish relationships with key partners and clients.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor strategies, and customer needs to maintain a competitive edge.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience: 10+ years of marketing experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role, ideally in a hybrid business model (software products and professional services).
- Education: Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree is a plus).
- Industry Expertise: Proven experience in B2B technology marketing, with a deep understanding of selling both SaaS/software products and professional services.
- Strategic Leadership: Demonstrated ability to develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies that drive revenue growth and brand awareness.
- Go-to-Market Experience: Expertise in leading go-to-market strategies for product launches and service offerings, including positioning, messaging, and competitive differentiation.
- Demand Generation Skills: Strong track record of driving demand generation and pipeline growth using multi-channel marketing strategies (e.g., digital, events, ABM).
- Content Development: Experience creating and managing thought leadership content, such as white papers, case studies, webinars, and blogs, to engage target audiences.
- Collaboration: Proven ability to work cross-functionally with sales, product, and service delivery teams to align marketing efforts with business goals.
- Data-Driven Approach: Strong analytical skills with the ability to measure marketing performance, track KPIs, and make data-driven decisions.
- Team Leadership: Experience building and leading high-performing marketing teams in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
- Budget Management: Expertise in managing marketing budgets and delivering measurable ROI.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messages and deliver impactful presentations.
- Market Insight: In-depth understanding of target markets, customer personas, and industry trends to inform marketing strategies.

- Experience in a startup or scaling environment, with a demonstrated ability to adapt to evolving priorities and resource constraints.
- Familiarity with marketing technology tools (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce, Google Analytics, LinkedIn Ads).
- Experience marketing solutions targeted at both small and large organizations, supported by a direct sales team and also digital only selling
- Knowledge of professional services selling methodologies, including consultative sales approaches and long sales cycles.
