VP - Business Risk and Control

As a Business Risk and Control Officer at Citigroup, you will be a recognized technical authority within the business, requiring basic commercial awareness. Your role will involve providing advice and counsel related to the technology or operations of the business, impacting an entire area and affecting the overall performance and effectiveness of the sub-function/job family. Key Responsibilities: - Contribute to governance and facilitate the execution of the Manager Control Assessment (MCA) as required by the MCA Standard, including assessing and approving risks associated with business changes. - Support teams in implementing the Control Framework, including Risk Control Policy, Control Standard, Issue Management Policy, Lesson Learned Policy, and Control Inventory. - Perform detailed analysis on issue root causes, recommend corrective actions, and ensure appropriate escalation in line with Issue Management and Escalation Policies. - Contribute to the Lessons Learned Policy by monitoring control breaches, disseminating learnings, and improving processes to prevent future occurrences. - Review and challenge the design and management of controls to mitigate risks as required by Control Standards, including monitoring, handling deficiencies, and escalating issues for resolution. Qualifications: - 10+ years of experience. - Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Access, SAS, SQL, Visual Basic is a plus. - 5+ years of experience in financial services. - Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills. - Effective organizational influencing skills. - Third-party vendor management preferred. - Ability to lead global team efforts. - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Ability to develop and implement strategy and process improvement initiatives. - Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred.
