Job Description

HSBC electronic data processing india pvt ltd is looking for VP Analytics Development Lead to join our team

Lead a team of modelers in developing best-in-class statistical/analytical/Machine Learning models.
Develop and deploy new tools and modelling techniques using Python and Machine Learning solutions.
Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code with a focus on scalability and maintainability.
Manage relationships with key stakeholders in the Business to build confidence and facilitate migration of additional responsibilities.
Drive business benefits through self-initiated projects and act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in modeling.
Stay updated on changing regulatory needs and reporting standards impacting models.

Job Requirements

Master's or Ph.D. in Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Engineering, MBA, or equivalent.
Strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem-solving and project management skills.
Excellent quantitative aptitude and proficiency in Python.
Commercial acumen with good knowledge of Banking products and their dynamics.
Ability to work in cross-functional teams with strong interpersonal skills and drive for success.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Relevant experience in analytics specifically in fields such as Machine Learning, anomaly detection, time-series, and forecasting modeling for a Banking organization.
Proficient in Python with a strong grasp of object-oriented programming, data structures, and algorithms.
Experience with libraries such as NumPy, Polars, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, and PyTorch.
Hands-on involvement across all stages of the modeling life cycle, from defining model scope to development, validation, testing, documentation, and scenario analysis.
Adhere to all applicable compliance policies and business standards.
