Role Overview: As the Volunteer Coordinator, you will be responsible for recruiting, training, and managing volunteer teams to ensure the smooth operation of medical projects and community assistance activities. You will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between organizations and volunteers, facilitating the successful implementation of humanitarian projects. Key Responsibilities: - Recruit, screen, and schedule volunteers according to project requirements. - Organize volunteer training sessions and orientations, covering safety protocols, project procedures, and task assignments. - Develop volunteer scheduling plans to ensure adequate staffing for medical sites and community events. - Monitor volunteer performance on-site, offering feedback and guidance as needed. - Maintain a volunteer database to track participation, skills, and training. - Coordinate with project managers and teams to align volunteer participation with project activities. - Motivate and engage volunteers to enhance retention and participation rates. - Assist in organizing volunteer recognition events and implementing reward mechanisms to foster team cohesion. Qualification Required: - Bachelor's degree or higher in Human Resources, Social Work, Public Administration, or a related field. - 3 years of experience in volunteer management, community coordination, or human resources, preferably with NGO experience. - Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills. - Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multitasking environment. - Proficiency in office software such as Excel, Word, and Outlook. Experience with volunteer management systems is a plus. - Interpersonal sensitivity and cultural adaptability to collaborate effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
