Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a VLSI Chip Designer located in Kolkata, WB. A VLSI (Very Large Scale Integration) designer profile involves designing and developing integrated circuits (ICs) for various electronic devices, requiring expertise in digital and analog circuit design, simulation, and layout, along with proficiency in hardware description languages like Verilog and VHDL. The role also involves working on the testing and verification of the chips.

Key Skills and Responsibilities:

Design and Development:

• Conceptualizing and designing circuits based on functional and performance requirements
• Creating and maintaining design documentation
• Simulating designs and troubleshooting issues

Knowledge and Expertise:

• Strong understanding of digital and analog circuit design principles
• Proficiency in hardware description languages (HDLs) like Verilog and VHDL
• Familiarity with CAD and EDA tools for VLSI design
• Knowledge of semiconductor physics and fabrication processes

Optimization:

• Optimizing designs for power, performance, area, and cost (PPA).

Tools and Technologies:

• Experience with tools like Cadence Virtuoso, Synopsys tools, and other relevant EDA tools

Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills:

• Strong analytical abilities and critical thinking skills to address complex design challenges

Verification:

• Understanding verification methodologies and techniques

• Knowledge of testing and verification processes for VLSI chips
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
