🔵 Position Overview

IAER is looking for a talented and creative Videographer & Video Editor


The ideal candidate should have strong visual storytelling skills and the ability to deliver modern, engaging video content tailored for platforms like Instagram, YouTube, and LinkedIn.


🔹 Key Roles & Responsibilities

1.               Video Pre-Production & Concept Development

  • Collaborate with the Social Media & Marketing team to conceptualize videos for reels, short films, testimonials, campus tours, and promotional campaigns.
  • Prepare shot lists, scripts, and basic storyboards when required.
  • Identify suitable locations, lighting possibilities, and creative angles for shoots.


2.       Filming & Camera Operation

  • Shoot high-quality videos of:
  • Events & seminars
  • Student testimonials
  • Faculty interviews
  • Campus life
  • Classroom & lab activities
  • Industry visits
  • Placement success stories
  • Use professional equipment including cameras, gimbals, lighting setups, and microphones.
  • Ensure proper framing, composition, and audio clarity.


3.       Video Editing & Post-Production

  • Edit raw footage into polished final videos using Premiere Pro, Final Cut, DaVinci Resolve, or similar software.
  • Add motion graphics, transitions, sound effects, background music, subtitles, and branding elements.
  • Maintain a fast turnaround time for short-form social content.
  • Color correction, audio cleanup, and visual enhancement.


4.       Reels, Shorts & Social Media Video Creation

  • Create trend-based reels, shorts, and quick formats optimized for high engagement.
  • Apply trending audio, modern text animations, and fast-paced editing styles.
  • Adapt videos into multiple formats: 9:16 (vertical), 1:1 (square), and 16:9 (landscape).


5.       Event Coverage

  • Capture key moments of campus events, workshops, celebrations, and guest lectures.
  • Create recap videos, highlight reels, and after-movies.
  • Coordinate with departments to ensure complete coverage.


6.       Equipment Management

  • Manage all production equipment including:
  • Cameras
  • Lenses
  • Tripods
  • Gimbals
  • Lights
  • Microphones
  • Ensure equipment maintenance, charging, and safe storage.
  • Recommend new equipment purchases as required.


7.       Media Storage & File Management

  • Organize raw footage and project files properly.
  • Maintain video archives & backups for future use.
  • Create a structured digital asset library.


8.       Collaboration & Coordination

  • Work closely with:
  • Social Media Manager
  • Graphic Designer
  • Content Writer
  • Admissions & academic departments
  • Follow brand guidelines for colors, graphics, fonts, and tone.
  • Ensure timely delivery of all video content.


🔍 9. Creativity & Innovation

  • Bring fresh creative ideas and new shooting styles.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, transitions, editing styles, and digital storytelling formats.
  • Experiment with new techniques to enhance video quality and engagement.


9.       Photography

  • Capture high-quality photos for events, faculty profiles, brochures, and social media posts.



🔹 Required Skills & Expertise

  • Strong experience in video production and editing.
  • Expertise in one or more editing software:
  • Adobe Premiere Pro
  • Final Cut Pro
  • DaVinci Resolve
  • After Effects (added advantage)
  • Hands-on experience with DSLR/mirrorless cameras and stabilizers.
  • Understanding of lighting techniques, audio equipment, and visual composition.
  • Ability to edit in both creative and professional styles depending on project needs.
  • Knowledge of color grading, sound mixing, and motion graphics.


🔹 Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Film Production, Mass Communication, Media Studies, or a related field (preferred).
  • 1–3 years of professional experience in videography and editing.
  • Freshers with strong portfolios may also apply.
