Video Journalist (Business & Industry Focus)

We cover everything from gaming & competitive esports to the latest in anime, concerts, and youth culture trends. With our established media expertise, we're committed to telling the most compelling stories for stakeholders in gaming, esports, and pop culture industries.

Outlook India is seeking a Video Journalist to cover the business side of gaming and pop culture industries. You'll create daily briefings and conduct interviews for YouTube and podcast platforms, serving executives, investors, and professionals in gaming, esports, anime, and music sectors.

Responsibilities

• Produce and host a 10-15 minute daily briefing podcast covering market developments, funding rounds, mergers and acquisitions, and other relevant business developments in gaming, esports, anime, and youth culture industries.
• Conduct weekly 30-60 minute deep-dive interviews with C-suite executives, founders, investors, and key stakeholders from the above-mentioned industries.
• Research, analyze, and translate complex financial reports, industry data, and market trends into accessible content.
• Monitor social media and gaming communities to spot trending topics and viral content opportunities
• Build relationships with industry executives and PR teams for exclusive access and interviews
• Collaborate with the editorial team to meet Outlook India's editorial standards.

Basic Qualifications:

• Strong on-camera presence with excellent speaking and interviewing skills in English and Hindi
• Good news judgment and ability to create tight, informative, and engaging videos
• At least 1 year of video journalism experience
• Deep knowledge of gaming, esports, anime, music, and youth culture industries
• Understanding of business basics like financial markets and industry analysis
• Ability to work under daily deadlines and produce consistent content

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with podcast production, YouTube content creation, and long-form video interviewing
• Existing network of contacts within gaming, esports, anime, or live events industries
• Track record of breaking business news or securing exclusive executive interviews
• Knowledge of Indian and Asia-Pacific gaming, esports, and entertainment markets
