We need a video editor who understands short-form content at a molecular level. Not someone who slaps clips together. Someone who understands that every frame is fighting for three seconds of attention in an infinite scroll.


This is a fully remote freelance role.


We're building the next best content lab in India, and we're doing it with the best talent wherever they are. Our content has been shared by Paul Graham. Andrew Huberman follows our work. Leading VCs, YC founders, and tech leaders regularly engage with what we produce. This isn't aspirational - it's our baseline.


What This Role Actually Is


You'll edit for Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and LinkedIn videos. That's the core. Every cut needs to earn its place in someone's feed through sheer force of pacing, visual hooks, and information density. We're in the business of dopamine hits. If you don't understand how to edit content that makes people stop scrolling, watch till the end, and share - this isn't for you.

Core Responsibilities


Visual Storytelling & Assembly

  • Take scripts and transform them into fast-paced, engaging short-form videos
  • Work with AI avatar footage to create info-heavy reels that don't feel like lectures
  • Hunt down the perfect stock footage without waiting for direction
  • Build visual systems that make complex ideas instantly digestible


Technical Execution

  • Edit primarily in Premiere Pro (or show us you're better with alternatives)
  • Master motion graphics, text animations, and transitions that enhance rather than distract
  • Maintain visual consistency across different founder and brand accounts
  • Use AI tools strategically throughout your workflow


Performance & Iteration

  • Track what works and reverse-engineer why
  • Kill what doesn't work without attachment
  • Build systematic approaches to editing that performs


What We're Looking For


Non-Negotiables

  • Mastery of Premiere Pro and/or professional alternatives (DaVinci, Final Cut)
  • Portfolio showing short-form content that actually performed - show us the view counts
  • Self-sufficient with stock footage sourcing (Pexels, Storyblocks, whatever works)
  • Experience creating info-dense content that holds attention
  • Ability to take feedback without taking it personally


The Real Requirements

  • You consume short-form content obsessively and know why certain videos work
  • You understand pacing, hooks, and retention curves instinctively
  • You can take a script and see the finished video in your head before you start
  • You don't need hand-holding - give you the raw materials and you run with it
  • You've created videos that people actually watched and shared


Bonus Points

  • Experience with After Effects for motion graphics
  • You understand audio mixing and know when a video needs it
  • You've worked with AI avatar platforms and know how to make them feel natural
  • You can handle the full pipeline from script to export when needed
  • You have your own content channel or have grown one for others
