1. Job Details

2. Job Purpose

  • Record videos during events.
  • Create video content for digital marketing related to social initiatives, both before, during, and after events.

3. Key Accountabilities

Strategic

  • Create audio-visual content related to social initiatives at MITWPU.

Operational

  • Proven work experience as a Video Editor.
  • Hands-on experience with editing software (Adobe Premiere 2022, Adobe After Effects 2022, Final Cut Pro X).
  • Understanding of filmmaking, pre-production, production, and editing processes.
  • Skills in creative GIF making, doodling, and motion graphics.
  • Familiarity with special effects, 3D compositing, and motion graphics.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating video editing ability.
  • Knowledge of timing, motivation, continuity, and storytelling through audiovisuals.
  • Film videos on set or on location; ensure equipment is available and functional.
  • Edit footage in post-production and organize project files efficiently.
  • Use keyboard shortcuts for efficient editing.
  • Pay special attention to music and voice-over integration.
  • Export final output in various formats (Full HD, SD, webcasting).
  • Deliver final output promptly to concerned departments and social media teams.

Collaborations

  • Work closely with the creative team to plan, film, and edit video content.
  • Ensure all filming equipment is available and working; direct camera operators as needed.
  • Share rough cuts with concerned persons and incorporate feedback for final output.

4. Academic Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in any domain.
  • MBA/PGDM in Advertising or Mass Communication preferred.
  • Certification in video editing from a reputed institute or 1-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong flair for editing and visual effects with adaptability to a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to produce accurate content under tight deadlines.
  • Creative thinker with storytelling skills.
  • Effective communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience in the education sector is a plus.
  • Proficiency with editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Motion Graphics, After Effects).
  • MS Office proficiency.
  • Proficient with camera equipment.
