Video Editor Role Brief: The Senior Video Editor will be responsible for crafting visually engaging and emotionally impactful videos that resonate with the target audience. This role involves collaborating with various teams to produce high-quality video content for campaigns. Work primarily includes making speech cuts of leaders, video slideshows, creative campaign launch videos, explainers for various SM platforms etc. We are looking for someone with a great visual sense, knowledge of colour correction, excellent sense of pace and timing (rhythm), managing multiple projects in multiple timelines, ability to visualise the written word and express it in AV to achieve the Creative director’s vision Responsibilities: · Enhance Raw Footage: Edit raw footage into polished videos suitable for digital and broadcast platforms. · Content Development: Collaborate on script development and visual storytelling for campaigns and create videos from scratches using material available online and on other possible sources. · Technical Expertise: Use advanced editing tools like Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Final Cut Pro. · File Management : Organize and manage rendered files and create a video repository, especially of speech cuts etc. thereby ensuring they are easily accessible for future use and updates. · Quality Control: Ensure seamless transitions, sound integration, and visual effects to enhance video quality. · Innovative Approach: Experiment with new editing techniques and formats to create impactful content. Preferred Qualification: · 3+ years of experience in video editing, with a focus on storytelling, preferably in a production house/ advertising industry/ political consulting organization. · Demonstrable portfolio showcasing impactful video projects within tight deadlines. Minimum Qualification: · Bachelor’s degree in any relevant discipline. · 3 to 5 years of video editing experience, and exceptional knowledge in Adobe Premier Pro CC 2019 and later versions, Adobe After Effects including Plugins like Boris, Final Cut Pro as well as working knowledge in Adobe Photoshop and illustrator · Ability to handle cameras. · Proficiency in Tamil and English About Demos Project Private Limited Demos Project is a political strategy and operations firm dedicated to creating sustainable and impactful solutions across public policy, grassroots campaigns, and digital transformation.
