Job Summary:

The Vice Principal supports the Principal in providing leadership for the academic and operational functions of the school. This role involves assisting in managing staff, overseeing student discipline and welfare, supporting curriculum implementation, and ensuring a safe and productive learning environment. The Vice Principal serves as a key member of the school’s leadership team, fostering a culture of excellence, inclusion, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:Leadership & Administration:

  • Assist the Principal in day-to-day school operations.
  • Represent the Principal in their absence.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and implementation of school-wide initiatives.
  • Supervise and evaluate teaching and non-teaching staff.
  • Ensure compliance with school policies, state regulations, and district requirements.

Student Management:

  • Enforce school rules and behavioral policies.
  • Manage student discipline, including handling behavioral referrals and parent conferences.
  • Oversee student attendance records and intervention strategies.
  • Support programs for student engagement, counseling, and academic success.

Staff Development & Support:

  • Assist in the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of staff.
  • Plan and facilitate professional development opportunities.
  • Mentor and support faculty to improve teaching effectiveness and classroom management.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative working environment.

Curriculum & Instruction:

  • Support the implementation of curriculum and instructional programs.
  • Monitor and analyze student performance data.
  • Promote inclusive teaching practices and differentiated instruction.
  • Assist with standardized testing coordination and reporting.

School Culture & Safety:

  • Promote a positive, respectful, and inclusive school culture.
  • Develop and implement safety procedures and emergency response plans.
  • Supervise student activities, assemblies, and extracurricular events.
  • Serve as a liaison between students, parents, staff, and the community.

Qualifications:Education:

  • Master’s degree in Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field.
  • Valid administrative certification/licensure (as required by state or district).

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of teaching experience.
  • Prior administrative or leadership experience preferred.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive issues with discretion.
  • Proficiency in educational technology and data analysis tools.

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time, on-site position with occasional evening or weekend responsibilities.
  • School environment with regular student and staff interactions.
  • May require extended hours during peak periods .

Remuneration:

Salary will be Commensurate with Qualifications and Experience, as per industry standards.
