Position Title: VP Technology Senior Delivery Head – Strategic Account

About the Role

We are looking for an accomplished Vice President – Technology (Senior Delivery Head – Strategic Account) to lead delivery, innovation, and transformation initiatives for large-scale clients in the Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance domain, with a focus on Specialty and Commercial Lines. The role involves overseeing global IT services delivery, digital transformation, and client technology engagements, with a strong emphasis on the UK, Europe, and Lloyd’s market.

The ideal candidate will combine strong delivery leadership, technology expertise, and insurance domain knowledge to drive scalable, innovative, and value-driven outcomes for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Leadership & Portfolio Management

• Lead technology strategy, product, and platform build initiatives aligned with business goals.

• Manage delivery for strategic accounts, ensuring client satisfaction and business growth.

• Govern large programs/projects and oversee staffing, resource allocation, and budgets.

• Track delivery metrics, optimize resource utilization, and ensure profitability.

2. Capability Development & Team Leadership

• Mentor and manage senior leaders across delivery sub-teams.

• Build strong organizational structures, manage performance, and support career growth.

• Drive hiring, attrition control, and talent development initiatives.

3. Communities of Practice

• Establish and nurture CoEs/guilds in analysis, engineering, and quality.

• Promote knowledge sharing, best practices, and technical innovation across teams.

• Champion continuous learning, upskilling, and certifications.

4. Technical Excellence

• Oversee solution delivery for strategic accounts and platforms.

• Govern Managed Services engagements across Applications and Infrastructure.

• Implement effective release, configuration, and SDLC management practices.

• Run audits (SDLC, security, compliance) and manage 3rd-party certifications.

• Evaluate new tools, platforms, and cloud-based solutions (Azure/AWS).

5. Stakeholder & Client Management

• Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and client stakeholders.

• Partner with business development teams for demos, POCs, and proactive client propositions.

• Drive quarterly/monthly governance with clients, ensuring delivery excellence.

• Collaborate with internal and external teams to define offerings, drive innovation, and support sales.

Must-Have Qualifications

• B.Tech./B.E. or M.Tech./M.E. from a recognized institution.

• 25+ years of IT services experience (Applications & Infrastructure).

• At least 5–7 years in a Delivery Head/Leadership role.

• At least 10 years of P&C insurance experience, preferably in Specialty or Commercial Lines.

• 3+ years of onsite experience in the US within the last 15 years.

• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and cloud platforms (Azure or AWS).

• Broad understanding of US & Canada immigration norms and guidelines.

• Proven track record of leading successful client delivery engagements.

• Excellent written and spoken communication skills.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of P&C core insurance platforms.

• Experience managing both large and small delivery teams.

• Prior Lloyd’s/London market exposure.
