Role Overview: As the Head of Finance Shared Services in the Construction/Engineering/FMCG industry, your main responsibility will be to lead the complete setup of a Financial Shared Services Center from scratch. This includes establishing the operating model, governance structure, SLAs, KPIs, and compliance framework. You will drive the transition from current outsourced teams to the new FSS and implement scalable, technology-enabled processes to support high-volume finance operations effectively. Key Responsibilities: - Oversee core finance processes such as Accounts Receivable (AR), FICO, and Costing, with a focus on managing high complexity AR tasks involving rotating discount schemes typical in FMCG. - Lead AR & AP operations for Indian FMCG/multi-product businesses across B2B and B2C channels. - Identify and eliminate process bottlenecks, introduce best practices in shared services, automation, and process governance. - Collaborate with IT to deploy AI/ML, advanced automation tools, OCR, workflow engines, and predictive analytics to drive digital transformation and enhance productivity. - Engage with senior stakeholders, act as the primary SPOC for FSS performance, and manage cross-functional relationships with HR, IT, operations, and external partners. - Lead and scale a large workforce, build high-performing teams, and manage multi-shift, 24/7 operations with a strong performance culture. - Support the roadmap to offer shared services externally as a revenue-generating line of business, driving cost efficiency, productivity improvement, and scalable service offerings. Qualifications Required: - Experience in handling large-scale invoice volumes (minimum 70,000-80,000 invoices per month). - Strong knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP/Oracle, RPA, analytics, and finance-tech solutions. - Proven track record in stakeholder management, people leadership, and process re-engineering in a shared services environment.
