Description
As the Vice President of Engineering at Tinubu, you will play a crucial role in leading the credit engineering team with a focus on technical leadership, strategic planning, and fostering a culture of innovation and excellence. Your responsibilities will encompass overseeing the design, development, testing, and maintenance of the new platform, as well as managing two divisions within the company. **Key Responsibilities:** - **Leadership & Strategy:** Develop and implement the engineering vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned with the company's goals and product vision. - **Team Management:** Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing engineering team, promoting collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. - **Product Development:** Oversee the design, development, testing, and deployment of software products to ensure high standards of quality, scalability, and performance. - **Technical Excellence:** Advocate for best practices in software engineering, architecture, and agile methodologies while effectively managing technical debt. - **Cross-Functional Collaboration:** Work closely with other departments to align on product strategy, requirements, and delivery timelines. - **Budget & Resource Management:** Manage engineering budgets, resources, and timelines for efficient project delivery. - **Innovation & R&D:** Drive innovation within the engineering team by exploring new technologies and methodologies to enhance product offerings. - **Risk Management:** Identify technical risks, implement mitigation strategies, and ensure compliance with industry standards and security protocols. - **Customer Focus:** Integrate customer feedback into the product development process to enhance customer satisfaction continuously. **Qualifications Required:** - **Business-oriented:** Engage with customers and investors to understand their needs and deliver accordingly. - **Operating Model:** Implement the hybrid squad model with Indian resources, following a scrum-like methodology. - **Data-Driven:** Establish and monitor productivity KPIs for observability and stakeholder communication. - **Budget Management:** Build and manage budgets to meet financial forecasts and ensure profitability. - **Engineering Roadmap Delivery:** Collaborate with product and customer success teams to articulate product and migration roadmaps. - **Platform Operations Management:** Ensure customer satisfaction and smooth onboarding processes. - **Collaborative Culture:** Align employees on strategic objectives and foster a collaborative work environment. - **Artificial Intelligence Leadership:** Encourage the adoption of AI within engineering and operational processes.
