Description
As a Vice President of Engineering at Tinubu, your role will involve leading the credit engineering team with a focus on technical leadership, strategic planning, and fostering a culture of innovation and excellence. You will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, testing, and maintenance of the new platform, managing two divisions within the organization. **Key Responsibilities:** - **Leadership & Strategy:** Develop and implement the engineering vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned with the company's goals and product vision. - **Team Management:** Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing engineering team comprising software developers, QA engineers, DevOps, and technical managers. Foster a collaborative culture of innovation and continuous improvement. - **Product Development:** Oversee the design, development, testing, and deployment of software products to ensure high standards of quality, scalability, and performance. - **Technical Excellence:** Advocate best practices in software engineering, architecture, and agile methodologies while effectively managing technical debt. - **Cross-Functional Collaboration:** Work closely with Product Management, Sales, Marketing, and other departments to ensure alignment on product strategy, requirements, and delivery timelines. - **Budget & Resource Management:** Manage engineering budgets, resources, and timelines efficiently for on-time project delivery. - **Innovation & R&D:** Drive innovation within the engineering team by exploring new technologies, tools, and methodologies to enhance product offerings. - **Risk Management:** Identify and mitigate technical risks while ensuring compliance with industry standards, security protocols, and regulatory requirements. - **Customer Focus:** Incorporate customer feedback and needs into the product development process to continuously improve customer satisfaction. **Qualifications Required:** - Business-oriented mindset with the ability to engage with customers and investors to understand their outcomes. - Proficiency in implementing the hybrid squad model with Indian resources using a group scrum-like methodology. - Data-driven approach to establish and monitor group productivity KPIs for investor observability. - Experience in budget management to meet financial forecasts and ensure profitability. - Strong background in delivering engineering roadmaps aligned with stakeholder expectations. - Proficiency in platform operations management to ensure customer satisfaction and timely onboarding. - Ability to foster a collaborative culture across departments to align on strategic objectives. - Leadership skills in promoting the exploration and adoption of artificial intelligence within engineering processes. **Additional Details about Tinubu:** Tinubu offers various perks including flexibility for on-site work, annual bonus vacation, an international environment with multicultural teams, health & well-being benefits, meal subsidies, transportation coverage, learning & development programs, and team events to maintain high team spirit.
